Caloundra Carving
About This Sculpture
This sculpture was in recognition of the traditional owners of the land. After conversations with the local Indigenous owners, I designed the stones with the traditional foods including turtle, diamond mullet, shellfish, crab and local seeds and fruit. The carbal (serpent) was also sculpted into the stone. The mosaic piece shows the landscape of the Glass House Mountains down to the river opening with bunya and pine trees.
